We Not Me Athletics is a dedicated platform that revolves around the principles of student-athlete growth and development. The essence of our mission is encapsulated in the famous saying, "it takes a village to raise a child." We firmly believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive community where the collective efforts of coaches, mentors, parents, and fellow athletes contribute to the holistic development of each student-athlete. Our approach goes beyond the individual, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, discipline, and character building. Through a comprehensive program, We Not Me Athletics strives to create an environment that nurtures not only athletic skills but also instills values that will guide these young individuals towards success both on and off the field. We are committed to shaping well-rounded individuals who understand the significance of collaboration and community in their journey towards excellence.

Samantha Corsello, Director & Social Media / Content

Playing Experience:
Played four years of varsity basketball, volleyball and softball in high school at Westhill High School in Stamford, CT where I racked up a total of 500 rebounds and 300 points and was named Captain my junior and senior year. I went to Penn State Wilkes-Barre for my first two years of college, where I was recruited to play basketball and volleyball and continued my education at Penn State University main campus and graduated in 2019.

Coaching Experience:
Coached AAU for Stamford Peace for 2 years then continued on at Leman Manhattan Prep in New York City, serving as the head coach for their Girls Varsity basketball team for 3 years. After that I started teaching at a private middle school and started working at Select Hoops as a coach for the 13U and 15U teams.

Coach Rory Plunkett

Coach Rory Plunkett initiated and has been the Head Coach of the boys high school team at The IDEAL School of Manhattan since 2019. Rory has also served as the Athletic Director at The IDEAL School of Manhattan since 2022. He holds a Masters Degree in Special Education and a concentration in Applied Behavioral Analysis from Colorado University Denver. Rory started coaching AAU in 2022 and his 13U team won a Zero Gravity Championship in it’s first season. Since then he has been the Head Coach or Assistant Coach on over 12 teams ranging from 12U to 17U. Rory is also a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer which helps him prepare his teams physically and athletically for competition. As a coach and director, Rory just wants to set the youth up for success in higher education and beyond.

Coach Andrew "Drew" Anderson

Coach Drew is an alumni of Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. Played four years of high schools hoops honed his love for the game and created a passion to coach and teach the youth. As a coach, his passion for the purity of the game with an emphasis on fundamentals and efficiency, while also facilitating the development of players on and off the court is what drives Coach Drew to keep coaching to develop better student athletes

Coach Fataya 'Tay' Larry

Coach Tay hails from Brooklyn, New York. She played high school basketball at Canarsie High school; finished her senior year with 1,000 Rebounds and 1,000 points that season. She then received a scholarship to play for Dean College. Developed tremendously and played at Dean for two years. She graduated with her associate's degree to then play for the University Of Northwestern Ohio for one year and finished her senior year at Rhode Island college. Throughout her college experience, she lead each conference by averaging the most rebounds per game, defensive All team, and 2x All American second team.

Her belief is in helping student athletes grow mentally and physically. How we communicate and thrive off of each other’s energy will strengthen our bond. We are more than a team we are a family.Her motto: "We Will Not Give Up, We Will Not Give In, and We Will Not Settle for less!"
